IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE KEEP IT COLLARED CLERGY TIME TRACKER, SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!
KEEP IT COLLARED TIME MANAGEMENTAs clergy, managing our time is important. Despite the old joke about only working on Sundays, we often work long hours. The strain on our families is sometimes immense, due to the evenings and weekends we put in. In addition, the nature and boundaries of the work is hard to define. The number of things we could be working on is seemingly infinite, but we only have finite time. A good time-management workflow can help us to get needed work done, lower our anxieties, and live more fully into our vocations.
There are many excellent methods commercially available that go at time management in various ways. However, they are all based on business models. Franklin-Covey is designed for middle and upper management business people, and reflects that bias. Getting Things Done is popular with coders and tech workers and assumes that kind of workflow. Keep It Collared seeks to incorporate principles from many other methods but adapt them to the different kind of work environment that clergy function in. |

Helping clergy manage their time since 2004
What is the KIC TimeTracker?
- Many clergy persons have letters of agreement (LOA) that designate a certain amount of blocks of time as a work week (Morning, afternoon and evening). This simple Excel spreadsheet can track these blocks and tell you how you are doing as a steward of your time. It will keep a running average of the number of blocks you work per week. It can alert you if you spend more nights a week than is stipulated in your LOA. It cantrack missed days off and help you track make-ups. It will also track reading time, vacation, continuing ed, sick days and Sundays off.
